*NOTE* Any report with a """"-C"""" in the header designates a chain point. For instance A:3, R:4-C means Area 3, Report 4, map point generated in the radius of a prior point. If Report 5 does not have a C then it was generated in the area but not within the prior point radius and is not part of the chain.
-Consider this Area 3, Part 2. Due to surgery there has been a sizable break in continuity so it shouldn't seem too much different from my other reports but it is.
BEGIN REPORT:
I happened to have a driver this particular night and the area was a small circular camp ground\boat loading ramp. The driver was afraid of alligators even though it was cold as hell but I only expected her to follow me so far anyway. Long story short she never left the car. The necessity for a Randonaut Initiat Screening program is growing by the day. I'll never get any work done if I have to constantly reassure my partner against something so minor as an alligator attack. Either way, it's nice to have a driver.
Except for the prior report all have taken place in research area 3. The Abyss/ Bell Slough report is the initial location and all points except for the prior report were chain generated within the radius of the previous location. From Bell Slough we are lead further along the lakeside to what I will officially refer to as Point Fiddlehead.
The Fiddlehead Incident.
Upon arrival I quickly scanned the surrounding area, and scittered into the woods a short distance one direction before being cut off by the fairly quick transition to swamp. Heading back across the parking area I noticed what one might think was a fire hydrant but initially it seemed like it may have been a pressure release valve for maintaing lake levels. The side of the PVC pipe was busted and dry. Right above it a tag shown a snail-like spiral with several dots and the inscription """"Fiddlehead 4 1 23"""". I always pay attention to a good spiral and for all I knew and know the Fiddlehead is still out there in the strange forest surrounding the lake. Maybe I'm the Fiddlehead.
Due to a cold wind I made a B line across the parking lot and straight into the opposing tree line. Half swamp, half brush forest, movement was fairly difficult in the dark so the Thermal Imager became my primary guidance tool. Over a relatively short amount of time, whether due to reduced thermal gradient or potentially the wind and cold causing fatigue of the metallic lens, the result was an amalgam of laggy, glitched out fuzzy footage. Lights shown through the trees both reflecting off the water and from across the lake. As I was about to turn back I noticed a slightly amorphous blue undulating orb shaped light that seemed to slowly hover through the trees at a distance and height that was extremely unnatural in comparison to its surroundings. At max zoom with the phone camera I could see it moving away while also moving laterally back and forth.
I was confused as hell but I just couldn't help myself and went straight to hunter seeker mode.
I chased it until the forest and lake ran together blocking my advance and I immediately threw it into reverse.
I clamored into the car where my partner was still hold up in fear of ice alligators. A quick turn around and we hit the main road traveling in the direction of the sighting. The main road was elevated giving us a fairly clear view of an empty sky. The thermal imager echoed the sentiment so we decided to break off onto a road that doubled as a levy. We drove for another few minutes, dark water stretching out to our right. We reached a fork on the other side and sat admiring the lake\fish hatchery, as had become apparent by a sign labeled """"Fish 10"""".
Black Triangles. You have probably seen the reports about flying triangles with three points of light visible on the underside. Some distance in front of us was the base of a very large ridge that extends for many miles. Two very large triangle shaped craft crested the ridge moving very slowly and almost completely silent.
I grabbed both cameras and went out the sunroof. Thermal got some subpar images before the battery died. Phone, now the only option left, I zoomed and tried to stabilize the shaking. They both made an almost 90 degree turn and came right over us.
As large as they were they only emitted a slow oscillating hum. Although they looked alien to the best I could make out, they had standard FAA running lights with a white light on one side and red on the other. I guess if you're going to fly a secret military craft of some kind you may as well attempt to make it look like your average secret military craft. And I would put my money on just that, being that an airforce base wasn't far away and technically we were on Army Core of Engineers maintained land.
The realization came fairly suddenly when I zoomed in on one of the three not standard lights. Exactly the same hazy blue circle that seemed to emit a blue wispy discharge like smoke for a very short distance. I realized most likely what I had been seeing in the forest was a far off similar craft flying low and thus producing the illusion of an orb moving through the trees. Around this time it suddenly began strobing (for lack of a better word) large white silent bursts that resembled the muzzle flash of a large antiaircraft gun. At this point I'm utterly confused as hell, still, so I keep filming.
Eventually they reach altitude and distance where only the flashes can still be seen. As soon as I climb back down into the car I look out the passenger side window across the water and it appears a straight horizontal beam of light is approaching us. As it gets closer it looks like the text book definition of a UFO. Back out the sunroof with the sliver charged Thermal I set my reticle on the object. Another 10-15 seconds and the line separated to 4 separate points accompanied by the dead give away sound of a large military cargo plane.
Since it was coming right over us I went ahead and aimed the thermal imager up. It passed over and out of sight with no major incident. However when I went to pick up my imager I inadvertently swept back across the sky above us and was shocked to see the exhaust trail of a jet that was nowhere in sight and had not been present even a minute before. It was only visible on thermal in the night sky and it left me to wonder what would streak over without making any sound at all, especially at the speeds it had to be traveling. Maybe I was preoccupied and just didn't notice it but my driver was just as confused. We sat for another 20-30 minutes and called it a night.
On the way out we spotted a single Mason Jar with a light wired into the top and hanging from a tree. Dirt steps had been carved into the side of the hill. At the top was a swinging love seat in front of a small fire pit. Next to it I discovered something almost as shocking as the aircraft. 4 OG Tonka Trucks and a tin full of 160 marbles. Out of respect I left these treasures in their place of serenity.
I have not had time to fix broken links to the telegram archive but if you'd like video from this report you can access it in the randonautica official telegram archive and the video will be reposted with this report. If you have trouble finding them then go to the Randonautica Official room and Steve will show you the way.
Search for Marcelus Jones and that should lead you to my reports, pics, and videos.
*NOTE* Old reports are unlikely to be updated from this point forward. Instead relevant updates will be provided in current reports with reference to their original reports included. Also the current system may be altered as this is likely the last report that will be made before upgrading to the beta.
